Meet Dr. Girish Mohan
Board-certified, Harvard-trained dermatologist
Dr. Girish Mohan was born and raised in Naperville, IL, outside of Chicago. After high school, he was accepted to the prestigious GPPA Medical Scholars program at the University of Illinois, an integrative undergraduate through medical school training program. During medical school, he completed a year of dedicated research in the Skin Immunology laboratory within the department of dermatology and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha with top honors. Dr. Mohan was then accepted to the Harvard Dermatology residency training program in Boston, where he trained at the multiple Harvard Medical School hospitals, including Mass. General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess, Lahey Clinic, Boston Children’s Hospital and the Boston VA hospitals.
While training, he dedicated continuity clinics at the MGH Laser and Cosmetic center, which was the birthplace of modern lasers for dermatologic use, as well as completed rigorous inpatient dermatology training caring for complex medical dermatology patients. This unique training granted Dr. Mohan expertise spanning the breadth of dermatology. After completing his residency, Dr. Mohan was recruited as Director of the Laser and Cosmetic center at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut along with practicing medical and surgical dermatology. He has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. He relocated with his wife to warm LA and enjoys connecting with and caring for his patients here. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends, traveling, and outdoor activities including hiking, biking and basketball (he’s a big Lakers fan!)
